Patients receive personalized, comprehensive care from a dedicated multidisciplinary team from early detection through advanced treatment and clinical trials. Medical oncologists collaborate closely with your referring physician and other board-certified medical and radiation oncologists on the CDH medical staff. Rounding out the team are professionals in radiology, diagnostic imaging, nutrition, social work, pharmacology, genetic counseling and pastoral and hospice care. Oncology-certified nurses and oncology pharmacists work with your physician to develop a custom treatment plan for your care.
While the focus is on the prevention, detection and treatment of the many types of cancer that affect our patients, providing comprehensive care also means paying attention to the whole person.
In order to address the patient’s physical, social and emotional well-being, important support and holistic services are available in the CDH Cancer Center. These include nutritional and psychosocial counseling, image enhancement services, pastoral care, support groups, patient education and prevention programs as well as community outreach programs.
By combining a leading-edge facility with compassionate care from a team of multidisciplinary experts, we offer our patients and their families local access to quality cancer care.
