Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center has 335 acute-care beds and 17 ambulatory care satellites. The Center for Advanced Care, an outpatient center that opened in April 2015, enables Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center to expand and centralize outpatient surgery, digestive health and cancer care services into one location, creating improved access to care, continuity among disciplines, enhanced efficiencies and a better overall experience for patients and their families, physicians and associates.
The 164,000 square-foot building is located on the Advocate Illinois Masonic campus, in the heart of Chicago’s Lake View community, with convenient access to CTA trains and buses, as well as on-site patient and visitor parking. The Center for Advanced Care is attached directly to the existing main hospital building, with an additional entrance on Nelson Street east of Sheffield Avenue.
We stay at the leading-edge of new breakthroughs in cancer therapy through our involvement in clinical trials offered by the National Cancer Institute as well as collaborations with university medical centers. Through participation in clinical trials, we are able to contribute to the body of knowledge in the medical community in the fight against cancer. The Center for Advanced Care is also home to the first hospital-based satellite location of Gilda’s Club Chicago, which is a free community resource center to anyone who has been touched by cancer.
