Dr. Rhome is the medical director and primarily practices at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He has conducted research and clinical trials in the areas of breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, and radiosurgery for brain tumors. His research has been presented at annual meetings such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
Dr. Rhome is trained in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery for the liver, lung, brain, and spine, as well as intraoperative radiation therapy. He has an interest in treating a range of cancers, particularly breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, as well as central nervous system and lung malignancies.
He believes in an individualized, patient-centric approach to consultations and treatment planning, with shared decisions made with patients and multidisciplinary oncology teams.
