About Me

Erin Swiatek is a board certified Physician Assistant who primarily practices out of the Northwestern Medicine Chicago Proton Center, in Warrenville, IL. After completing undergraduate at University of IL with a degree in molecular and cellular biology with a minor in secondary science education, she went on to get her Masters in Medical Science in the physician assistant program and Midwestern University in Downers Grove. After graduation, she started working out of Advocate Christ Medical Center and then Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Urology Physician Assistant. She has vast experience with Urologic Oncology including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer. In 2016 she switched focus to Radiation Oncology, and has been working with pediatric and adult oncology patients seen at the Northwester Medicine Chicago Proton Center. She works as a team with Drs. William Hartsell, John Chang, Christy Kesslering, Vinai Gondi, and Nasir Mohammed to help manage patients side effects while on treatment, monitor patients during follow up appointments, and provide survivorship education for patients who have reached remission.

Erin spends her leisure time with her family, including an energetic black lab. She continues to work closely with Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program, with plans to be a preceptor for physician assistant students. When asked why she chose Radiation Oncology, she states, “I really enjoy the field of Oncology and am lucky enough to work at the Chicago Proton Center with cutting edge radiation therapy. I enjoy continuously learning this ever evolving field, as well as all the time I am able to spend counseling and educating patients and their families.”
